Since 2002, the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Goleta, California, has presented monthly concerts of music ranging from folk to jazz, bluegrass to Middle Eastern – and some beautiful and exciting sounds that just defy categories.
New building under construction
The Series took time off after the June 2008 show, while the Live Oak Congregation built a brand-new building, complete with more room and seating, a professional sound system, stage, and lighting for live performances. It’s beautiful and comfortable, spacious and intimate, all at the same time. The building was dedicated in April ’09, and the all-new Song Tree Concert Series started with an exciting Hawaiian music and dance show in May. The Guestbook page will tell you who’s been here, and the Upcoming Concerts page will tell you who’s coming.
